Katie and Cara walk the streets of London every week. The same streets, over and over again. One day on their journey, things change. No matter what they do their lives entwine, their paths always seem to be entwined. Why can’t they just let it go?
Where do we find love? Is it on the walk home? ‘Childsplay’ reveals a nuanced look at a relationship through coercive control. Why do they say nothing good ever happens after midnight? You’re about to find out.

A rehearsed reading of this play as part of the ‘Right Twig’ programme was shown in the Lyric’s Naughton Studio under the play’s previous title, “Streetlights”.
The original reading starred actors Aoibheann McCann and Aimee Richardson, and was directed by Emily Foran.
